ARNO

The Arno is, one might say, the mother river of Florence. Noble and graceful, solemn and ordered, this gentlemanly city sits on the plain of the Arno valley, embraced on every side by hills.

The Arno rises in the Apennines, flows through beautiful Florence, and empties into the Ligurian Sea. The stretch that belongs to Florence is broad, calm and emerald green, the riverside houses and the bridges above all mirrored in the water - quiet and serene.
